Fourth of July Picnic

 

The Grove, Meadow and Pond Settlements invite you to a Fourth of July Picnic

@ 5 :00 pm at the Pond in front of 32/33 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Please bring a chair, a plate and utensils- we will provide the picnic!

If you drive over,  park near 30-34 and we will have our houses open to get to the Pond.  In case of rain-The Barn.

St. Patrick's Day Dinner-Saturday, March 14

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with fellow farmers.

 

Enjoy a buffet of corned beef and cabbage, fish and chips, and bangers and mash.  Soup, salad, coffee and soft drinks included.   $15.00 per person includes tax and gratuity. Cash bar for green beer and other libations.

Big Night in the Big Barn

Big Night in the Big Barn

Join your fellow farmers on Saturday, October 4 at 6:00 p.m. for an Italian buffet while we show  "Big Night" on the screen.  The meal will be prepared by Scartozzi's and feature Italian salad (V), tomato and mozzarella (V), fried calamari, eggplant lasagna (V),chicken vesuvio, and mostaccioli with meat sauce. Dessert and coffee will be served.   It is BYOB, so bring your favorite wine or other beverage.  The cost is $25 adult/ $15 kids.

New page for Barn committments

Happy summer all!

I've created a new "Page" on the THFA blog that lists all of the known dates for which the Dairy Barn has committed herself (look to the left-hand margin under "Pages").  This includes dates reserved for parties, weddings, board meetings, movie nights, etc.  If you see something missing (like TFI meetings, for example), please email me and let me know, so I can get it on there.

My disclaimer: I will do my best to keep the blog schedule up to date, but if it's particularly important to you, it would be a good idea to also confirm with me and not blindly trust the blog alone.

Added is a date this Saturday night for a small family group from nearby Long Beach who will be having a small + quiet get-together.

Talent Night @ The Barn

Join your fellow farmers following the Garden Party for an evening of talent. Contact Patrecia at emrys3@earthlink.net to get your spot on the stage or with any questions.  Those less talented or shy, bring a chair and be amazed by the talents at Tryon. 

Cocktails in the Garden/Movies in the Barn

A Tryon Farm tradition continues this Saturday, May 24, at 5:00 p.m.  Bring your favorite libation and appetizers to the garden to kick off the 2008 Summer Season.  Cocktails will be held each Saturday through the Labor Day weekend.  New this year, we will have a movie night in the barn on the third Saturday of each month.  This Saturday we begin the Season with the 2005 Academy Award Winning Best Animated film "Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit" (85 min.)http://www.wandg.com/ , which will be shown in the barn a 5:00 p.m., followed at around 7:00 p.m.by "A Piece of Eden".  For a review check out Dave Kehr in the New York TImes:

10- Bird walk -  There will be two bird walks scheduled, early morning and dusk.  Details to follow.
